John Pound's Music Centre Balcatta has been in operation since August 1991, then known as Northside School of Music. In April 2003 John Pound purchased the business and the new name was born.
In May 2005 our new Retail Section started operating, offering a wide range of Print Music and Accessories, entry level Guitars, Amps, Drums and Violins. Not only catering for our own students everyday needs, but also for many other students, teachers, schools and colleges in the area.
In October 2005 another big change occurred with the centre being appointed
Yamaha Agents for Digital Pianos, Keyboards, Guitars, Drums and more. This has allowed us to truly become your Family Music Centre North of the River. So whether you are looking for just lessons, or instruments or you want the Complete Package! John Pound's Music Centre Balcatta is your answer.
JPMC Balcatta caters for students aged from 2 years and uses the world renowned
Alfred Publishing Group Courses for group classes for children aged between 4 & 9 years. These courses incorporate the latest teaching techniques and a time proven formula that gives a child a solid start in their music education. These courses are keyboard based and encompass reading, writing, singing and of course performing.
